Veterans Beyond Borders is a year-round Cruising for Causes initiative created to honor military service while helping veterans and military families connect with education, opportunity, community, resources and meaningful experiences. Through year-round programs, charitable fundraising, partnerships and two annual signature cruise experiences, Veterans Beyond Borders turns recognition into continuing impact.

Veterans Beyond Borders recognizes that continuing impact by creating opportunities for connection, education, service, personal development and family support throughout the year.

The initiative is designed to complement, not duplicate, the work of veteran service organizations, government agencies and community partners. Cruising for Causes can help connect people, organizations, resources and experiences while directing charitable support toward programs that strengthen veterans and military families.

The Memorial Voyage is a meaningful gathering centered on remembrance, legacy, military families, education and community. The experience honors the men and women who gave their lives in military service while creating space for families, veterans and supporters to remember, reflect and continue their legacy through service.

Veterans Beyond Borders Heroes Memorial

Their Names. Their Stories. Their Legacy.

Families and supporters will have an opportunity to submit the name, photograph, branch of service and service information of eligible fallen service members for inclusion in the Veterans Beyond Borders Heroes Memorial.

The memorial can be presented during the Memorial Voyage and developed into an ongoing digital remembrance initiative so that the stories of those who served are preserved beyond a single event.

Veterans Beyond Borders is built around continuing engagement. Each program area provides a framework through which Cruising for Causes can educate, connect, raise funds, establish partnerships and support qualified charitable initiatives.

Connect veterans and transitioning service members with career education, resume development, interview preparation, professional resources, entrepreneurship education, mentorship and employer opportunities.

Support qualified charitable educational opportunities that may include scholarships, certifications, workforce education, professional development and entrepreneurship training for eligible veterans and military-family members.

Help veterans and military families identify established public, nonprofit and community resources while building a network of trusted organizations capable of providing specialized assistance.

The initiative can include an online business directory, educational programming, featured business stories, networking opportunities and an onboard marketplace during the Veterans Celebration Voyage.

Sail It Forward gives individuals, teams, organizations and corporate partners a way to participate in mission-driven fundraising connected to Veterans Beyond Borders.

Funds raised through approved campaigns support charitable programming rather than functioning as an automatic exchange for personal travel benefits. Cruising for Causes may separately establish eligible sponsored-participation opportunities in accordance with program criteria and available funding.
